Marissa Cameron was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in a household of musicians. Following a different path, she went to high school at the Chicago Academy For The Arts, where she primarily studied writing but also took courses in animation and Photoshop. She went on to study graphic design and filmmaking, graduating from Loyola University Chicago.
